The Chesterfield County Department of Utilities offers this free and secure Web page for customers to manage their water/wastewater accounts online.  To use it to its fullest benefit, please complete the registration process. Payments can be made on this site without registering.


By registering, customers are able to:
— make online payments without service fees,
— make transactions completely paperless by receiving e-bills,
— update contact information,
— view transaction history including prior balances, payments and water consumption.

To register, click on “Login” and then select “Register.” You will be prompted to create a username and password as well as to enter your Account-Customer number, which is located on the upper left-hand side of your bimonthly water/wastewater bill. Use the eight-digit portion that begins with 0 as your account number, and use the seven-digit portion that begins with 2 as your customer number. After you register, you will need your username and password to access the site.

Computer System Requirements
In order to register, you will need a browser with 128-bit encryption. To find this, click "Help" in the Internet Browser menu bar and then click “About.” A window will appear indicating your computer's browser version and the cipher strength. Customers accessing the system with a Macintosh computer using Internet Explorer may not have the full functionality of the drop-down boxes on the site.

Making Online Payments
Payments without service fees can be made without registering. To make a payment without registering, select “Online Payment” under “Online Services.” You will need the Account-Customer number on your bimonthly water/wastewater bill, as well as a valid Visa or MasterCard credit card. Use the eight-digit portion that begins with 0 as your account number, and use the seven-digit portion that begins with 2 as your customer number. After entering your information, click on “Go.” You will receive a message that you are being redirected to a third-party site. Click “OK” to proceed with the payment process. If you do not receive this message, check your pop-up blocker to allow access. If you do not see another window with your payment options, your pop-up blocker may not be allowing the payment site to open. Adjust your Internet browser to allow pop-ups on this page.

Online payments without service fees also can be made once you login with your username and password. Select “Make a Payment” under “Online Services.”

Note: Please only click the “Submit” button one time when making an online payment. Clicking “Submit” multiple times may generate multiple payments.

Questions regarding your account may be directed to the Chesterfield County Department of Utilities billing and customer service section at 804-748-1291, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m., with the exception of county holidays. There are no service fees for online credit card payments made through the Utilities Department website. Only Visa and Master Card credit cards are accepted.
